Description

A delicious and easy-to-make chocolate banana bark that combines rich chocolate with sweet, freeze-dried banana slices for a crunchy and satisfying treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or your preference)
  • 1/2 cup freeze-dried banana slices
  • Optional: sea salt flakes for topping
  • Optional: chopped nuts or seeds

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate gently in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate onto a lined baking sheet or tray and spread it evenly to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  3. Sprinkle the freeze-dried banana slices evenly over the melted chocolate while it is still warm.
  4. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes or chopped nuts/seeds on top for extra flavor and texture.
  5. Place the tray in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate is fully set and hardened.
  6. Once set, break the chocolate bark into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

  • Use good quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Freeze-dried bananas keep the bark crunchy; fresh bananas will not work the same way.
  • You can customize by adding nuts, seeds, or dried fruits of your choice.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep the bark crisp.
