- 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or your preference)
- 1/2 cup freeze-dried banana slices
- Optional: sea salt flakes for topping
- Optional: chopped nuts or seeds
Instructions
- Melt the dark chocolate gently in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate onto a lined baking sheet or tray and spread it evenly to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Sprinkle the freeze-dried banana slices evenly over the melted chocolate while it is still warm.
- If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes or chopped nuts/seeds on top for extra flavor and texture.
- Place the tray in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate is fully set and hardened.
- Once set, break the chocolate bark into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Notes
- Use good quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
- Freeze-dried bananas keep the bark crunchy; fresh bananas will not work the same way.
- You can customize by adding nuts, seeds, or dried fruits of your choice.
- Store in an airtight container to keep the bark crisp.
