Description

A refreshing floral twist on classic limeade, combining the delicate flavors of lavender and vanilla for a soothing, aromatic beverage.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 6-8 limes)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups water
  • Ice, for serving
  • Lime slices and lavender sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, sugar, and dried lavender. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and let the lavender syrup steep for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove the lavender flowers.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the lime juice, lavender syrup, vanilla extract, and remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well.
  5. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lime slices and lavender sprigs if desired.

Notes

  • Use culinary-grade lavender to ensure it’s safe for consumption.
  • Adjust sugar to taste if you prefer a sweeter or tarter drink.
  • Can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge.
