- 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup coconut water (or plain water)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Pinch of black pepper
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender: pineapple, turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, coconut water, honey (if using), and black pepper.
- Blend on high until smooth and well combined.
- If desired, strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture.
- Serve over ice cubes and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Use fresh turmeric root if available, about 1/2 inch, for a more vibrant flavor.
- Black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin in turmeric.
- Add a few mint leaves for extra freshness.
