For the Bars:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter (divided)
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 4 tbsp milk
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (remaining portion)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- Cream the Butter and Sugars:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and ½ cup of peanut butter until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the Egg and Vanilla:
- Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Mix the Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and oats.
- Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a cohesive dough forms.
- Prepare for Baking:
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the butterscotch chips over the top for extra sweetness.
- Bake:
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Make the Glaze:
- While the bars are baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and the remaining ¼ cup of peanut butter until smooth.
- Glaze the Bars:
- Pour the glaze over the bars immediately after they come out of the oven.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares and serving.
