Description

Indulge in the viral sensation with TikTok Cookie Croissants—flaky croissants stuffed with gooey chocolate chip cookie dough and baked to golden perfection. These half-baked treats are perfect for dessert, brunch, or anytime you crave a sweet and decadent delight!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 large croissants
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (188g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Croissants

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the croissants in half horizontally and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Cookie Dough

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  3. Gradually mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Step 3: Assemble the Cookie Croissants

  1. Spread about 3 tablespoons of cookie dough onto the cut surface of each croissant half.
  2. Close the croissant to form a sandwich and press additional cookie dough onto the top surface, flattening it slightly.

Step 4: Bake the Croissants

  1. Place the stuffed croissants on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12–14 minutes, or until the cookie dough on top is golden brown.
  2. Let the croissants cool for 5–10 minutes before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm for the ultimate gooey treat!

Notes

  • Half-Baked Centers: The cookie dough in the center will remain molten and gooey, just like the original bakery-inspired version. Adjust bake time if you prefer a more fully baked center.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2–3 days. Reheat in an air fryer or oven to restore crispiness and warmth.
  • Make-Ahead Option: Assemble the croissants and refrigerate or freeze them until ready to bake. Add a few extra minutes of bake time when baking from frozen.
