- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 slices of deli ham
- 2 sandwich buns or Kaiser rolls
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally to make 4 thinner cutlets.
- Brush chicken with olive oil and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Grill chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of ham and cheese on each piece of chicken and close the lid to melt the cheese.
- Toast the sandwich buns on the grill until golden brown.
- Spread Dijon mustard (and mayonnaise if using) on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a chicken piece with ham and cheese on each bun and top with the other half.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
