Description

These Sweet and Savory Honey Garlic Salmon Bites are a crave-worthy, quick dinner or appetizer. Crispy-edged salmon cubes are glazed in a rich honey garlic sauce, combining sweet, salty, and umami flavors for the perfect protein-packed bite. Serve over rice, salad, or as a party favorite.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for crispiness)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for pan-frying)
  • Honey Garlic Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  • Pat salmon dry and season with salt and pepper. Toss gently in cornstarch to coat evenly.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon cubes and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Add cornstarch slurry if you want a thicker glaze.
  • Return salmon bites to the pan and toss gently to coat in the sauce. Cook for 1–2 more minutes.
  • Serve warm over rice, noodles, or greens. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions.

Notes

  • Works well in air fryer (400°F for 7–8 minutes) – toss in sauce after cooking.
  • For spicy heat, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
  • Use maple syrup as a honey alternative.
