- 1/3 cup flour
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Meatballs
- In a large bowl, combine all the meatball ingredients except for the olive oil. Mix gently until just combined.
- Form into 1 ¼–1 ½-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 2: Cook the Meatballs
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the meatballs in batches, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Gravy
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Gradually whisk in the beef broth, ensuring no lumps remain. Add Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce, stirring well.
Step 4: Simmer and Finish
- Return the meatballs to the skillet. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meatballs are cooked through and the gravy thickens.
- Turn off the heat and stir in sour cream. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Step 5: Serve
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm over mashed potatoes, noodles, or rice.
