Description

The Sunset Mocktail is a vibrant, alcohol-free drink that features layers of tropical juices and a splash of grenadine to create a beautiful ombré effect—just like a sunset in a glass. It’s refreshing, easy to make, and perfect for summer parties, brunches, or mocktail hour.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice (optional for extra tropical flavor)
  • 1/4 cup sparkling water or lemon-lime soda
  • 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup
  • Ice
  • Orange slice or cherry, for garnish
  • Mint sprig (optional)

Instructions

  • Fill the Glass:
  • Fill a tall glass with ice.
  • Add Juices:
  • Pour in orange juice and pineapple juice, then top with sparkling water or soda.
  • Create the Sunset Effect:
  • Slowly pour grenadine syrup down the side of the glass or down a spoon so it sinks to the bottom. Don’t stir!
  • Garnish and Serve:
  • Garnish with an orange slice, cherry, or mint. Serve immediately and let your guests give it a gentle stir if desired.

Notes

  • Use pomegranate juice instead of grenadine for a less sweet version.
  • Try mango or passion fruit juice for a flavor variation.
  • Make it fizzy with ginger ale or flavored sparkling water.
