Scale
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

    • Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly over the bottom of the baking dish.
    • In a medium bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry pie filling and gently spread it out.
    • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the cream cheese and strawberry layers.
  • Add Butter Topping:

    • Allow the cake to cool slightly before serving.
    • Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Optional Toppings: A dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream pairs wonderfully with this cake.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving if preferred warm.
  • Customization: Swap the strawberry pie filling for cherry, blueberry, or peach for a new flavor twist.
