- 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 2 tablespoons pistachio syrup
- 1 tablespoon brown butter (optional, for richer flavor)
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Crushed pistachios or salted brown butter topping (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the espresso or strong brewed coffee and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.
- Stir in the pistachio syrup and brown butter (if using) into the hot milk.
- Use a frother or whisk to froth the milk mixture until light and foamy.
- Pour the espresso into a mug, then top with the pistachio milk mixture.
- Add whipped cream and crushed pistachios or salted brown butter topping if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- You can use store-bought or homemade pistachio syrup.
- Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of syrup.
- Brown butter adds a nutty depth similar to Starbucks’ original version.
