Description

A creamy and nutty latte made with pistachio syrup, espresso, and steamed milk, inspired by the popular seasonal Starbucks drink.


Ingredients

  • 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons pistachio syrup
  • 1 tablespoon brown butter (optional, for richer flavor)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Crushed pistachios or salted brown butter topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the espresso or strong brewed coffee and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling.
  3. Stir in the pistachio syrup and brown butter (if using) into the hot milk.
  4. Use a frother or whisk to froth the milk mixture until light and foamy.
  5. Pour the espresso into a mug, then top with the pistachio milk mixture.
  6. Add whipped cream and crushed pistachios or salted brown butter topping if desired.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use store-bought or homemade pistachio syrup.
