  • For Assembly:
  • 3 oz ladyfingers
  • 8 oz fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  • Prepare the Strawberry Rose Compote: Combine chopped strawberries, water, and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium and cook for 5 minutes until strawberries soften and sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, stir in rosewater, and let cool slightly.
  • Make the Mascarpone Cream: In a saucepan, whisk together egg yolks, sugar, and milk. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and cool. Once cooled, mix in mascarpone until smooth.
  • Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, beat heavy cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Assemble the Tiramisu: In a serving dish, layer ladyfingers, drizzle with strawberry rose compote, spread mascarpone cream, and add sliced strawberries. Repeat layers, finishing with mascarpone cream. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  • Cherry on my Sundae
  • Serve: Before serving, garnish with additional sliced strawberries and edible flowers if desired.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, ensure rosewater is alcohol-free.
  • Adjust rosewater quantity to taste, as its flavor can be potent.
  • This dessert can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
