  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into 4-inch squares.
  • Place a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square and top with a few blueberries.
  • Fold the corners of each square towards the center, pinching them together to form a blossom shape.
  • Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed.
  • Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.​
