- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 1 egg, beaten with 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. - Cook Spinach:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add spinach and cook until wilted.
- Season with salt and black pepper. Let cool slightly.
- Make the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Stir until well mixed.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the spinach and cheese mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small margin at the edges.
- Roll the pastry tightly into a log and pinch the edges to seal.
- Slice and Prepare for Baking:
- Cut the log into 2-inch slices and place them on the prepared baking tray.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
- Bake:
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
