Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 black tea bags (or green tea if preferred)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 23 tbsp honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: sliced strawberries and lemon rounds for garnish
  • Optional: fresh mint sprigs

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags.
  • In a blender, puree strawberries with lemon juice and sweetener until smooth.
  • Strain the strawberry puree through a fine sieve to remove seeds (optional for smoother tea).
  • In a large pitcher, combine brewed tea, strawberry mixture, and the remaining 2 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with strawberry slices, lemon rounds, or mint if desired.
