- 4 cups milk chocolate chips (divided)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
- 2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
- 8 tablespoons softened butter

Prepare the chocolate crust:
- Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Pour melted chocolate into a 9-inch pie pan, using a spoon to coat the bottom and sides evenly. Chill in the refrigerator until set.

Make the peanut butter filling:
- In a mixing bowl, beat peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the hardened chocolate layer in the pie pan.

Top with chocolate layer:
- Melt the remaining 2 cups of chocolate chips with the last 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening.
- Pour over the peanut butter filling, spreading evenly to cover the top.

Chill & Serve:
- Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours, or until fully set.
- Slice and enjoy!
Notes
- For a firmer crust, let the pie chill longer before slicing.
- Use crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
- Garnish with chopped Reese’s cups or a drizzle of melted peanut butter for extra indulgence.
