Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 cups milk chocolate chips (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 8 tablespoons softened butter

Instructions

  • Prepare the chocolate crust:

    • Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
    • Pour melted chocolate into a 9-inch pie pan, using a spoon to coat the bottom and sides evenly. Chill in the refrigerator until set.
  • Make the peanut butter filling:

    • In a mixing bowl, beat peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
    • Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the hardened chocolate layer in the pie pan.
  • Top with chocolate layer:

    • Melt the remaining 2 cups of chocolate chips with the last 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening.
    • Pour over the peanut butter filling, spreading evenly to cover the top.
  • Chill & Serve:

    • Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours, or until fully set.
    • Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, let the pie chill longer before slicing.
  • Use crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
  • Garnish with chopped Reese’s cups or a drizzle of melted peanut butter for extra indulgence.
