Description

This Raspberry Passionfruit Tequila Sour is a tropical twist on a classic sour, blending tequila with tart passionfruit, juicy raspberries, and a citrusy zing. It’s shaken with egg white (or aquafaba) for a silky, foamy finish and makes a gorgeous, vibrant drink for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila (blanco or reposado)
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1/2 oz passionfruit puree or juice
  • 1/2 oz raspberry syrup or muddled fresh raspberries (strained)
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 egg white (or 1 oz aquafaba for vegan)
  • Ice
  • Garnish: fresh raspberry, lemon twist, or edible flower

Instructions

  • Dry Shake:
  • Add tequila, citrus juice, passionfruit, raspberry, syrup, and egg white (or aquafaba) to a shaker without ice. Shake hard for 15–20 seconds to build foam.
  • Shake Again with Ice:
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled (another 15 seconds).
  • Strain and Serve:
  • Strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass. Let the foam rise, and garnish with a raspberry or lemon twist.

  • Use a fine mesh strainer for a smooth finish.
  • Adjust sweetness or tartness to your preference by tweaking the syrups.
