Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces melting chocolate

Instructions

Make the Peanut Butter Mixture:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, softened butter, and powdered sugar.
  2. Mix until smooth and creamy, ensuring the powdered sugar is well incorporated.

Shape the Balls:

  1. Using a 1 1/2-inch scoop, portion the mixture and roll into balls.
  2. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes, or until firm.

Melt the Chocolate:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each session to avoid burning.
  2. Continue until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.

Dip the Balls:

  1. Using a fork, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely.
  2. Place the dipped balls back on the parchment paper to set. Repeat with all balls.
  3. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freeze for up to 3 months with wax paper between layers. Thaw before serving.
  • Chocolate Tips: For smoother melting, use almond bark, melting wafers, or block chocolate. If using chocolate chips, add 1 teaspoon of shortening or coconut oil.
  • Decorate: Sprinkle with crushed peanuts, sea salt, or drizzle with white chocolate for added flair.
