- For the Oreo Crust:
- 24 Oreo cookies (crushed)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- For the Oreo Mousse:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 10 Oreo cookies (crushed)
- For the Chocolate Ganache:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
- For Garnish:
- Whipped cream
- Crushed Oreos
- Whole Oreo cookies
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare the Oreo Crust
- In a bowl, mix crushed Oreos and melted butter until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes while preparing the mousse.
- Step 2: Make the Oreo Mousse
- In a large bowl, beat heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in the whipped cream gently, then mix in the crushed Oreos.
- Spread the mousse evenly over the Oreo crust. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Step 3: Prepare the Chocolate Ganache
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan until just before boiling.
- Pour over chopped chocolate and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Let the ganache cool slightly, then pour over the mousse layer.
- Chill the cake for another 1-2 hours until set.
- Step 4: Garnish and Serve
- Top with whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and whole Oreos for decoration.
