- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or elbows)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add diced onion and garlic; cook until softened, about 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in beef broth, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, and uncooked pasta. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir occasionally.
- Stir in heavy cream and cheese. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
