Description

Easy and quick no-bake cereal bars made with pantry staples, perfect for a healthy snack or quick breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cereal (such as Rice Krispies or Cheerios)
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (if using unsalted peanut butter)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the peanut butter and honey together until smooth and combined.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the salt if using.
  4. In a large bowl, pour the peanut butter mixture over the cereal and mix until evenly coated.
  5. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared dish using a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  6. If using chocolate chips, sprinkle them on top and gently press in.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  8. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

  • Use any type of cereal you like for variety.
  • For a vegan version, use maple syrup and vegan chocolate chips.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
