Juicy ground beef, sautéed mushrooms, onions, and gooey cheddar cheese are layered with pasta or low-carb noodles, making this a cozy weeknight dinner everyone will love.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked pasta or low-carb noodles
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings chopped pickles, green onions, ketchup drizzle

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease and set aside
  • In the same skillet, add olive oil and sauté onions and mushrooms until softened and browned, about 7 to 8 minutes
  • Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute more
  • In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, mushroom mixture, cooked pasta, sour cream, and half of the cheddar cheese
  • Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly
  • Garnish with optional toppings and serve hot
