- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- For Garnish (Optional):
- Green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Coat the Chicken:
- Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Cook the Chicken:
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Combine & Simmer:
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir well.
- Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
