- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract (not mint extract)
- 2–3 drops green food coloring
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or chocolate syrup
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Chocolate shavings or sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine vanilla ice cream, milk, peppermint extract, and food coloring. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add chocolate chips and pulse a few times to incorporate, or swirl in chocolate syrup after blending for ribbons of chocolate.
- Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream. Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.
- Serve immediately with a festive straw!
Notes
- Use dairy-free ice cream and milk for a vegan version.
- For a thicker shake, use less milk or more ice cream.
- Make it “adult” with a splash of Irish cream or crème de menthe (optional and 21+ only).
