- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp matcha green tea powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough and roll into balls. Place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
