- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp matcha green tea powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until smooth and light.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, matcha powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until fully combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
