This Spicy Marry Me Chicken is a fiery version of the beloved creamy Tuscan chicken dish. Juicy chicken breasts are seared and simmered in a rich, spicy sun-dried tomato cream sauce with garlic, Parmesan, and crushed red pepper. It’s perfect for a romantic dinner or a spicy comfort food night!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Optional: chopped basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Sear the Chicken:
  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  • Make the Spicy Sauce:
  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic and crushed red pepper flakes until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Add sun-dried tomatoes and stir for another minute.
  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape up browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in cream, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Finish Cooking:
  • Return chicken to skillet. Simmer 5–10 minutes, or until cooked through and sauce is thick and creamy.
  • Serve:
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Add cayenne or hot sauce for extra spice.
  • Great with a side of sautéed spinach or roasted veggies.
  • Leftovers taste even better the next day!
