Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (or desired mix-ins)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips or other mix-ins.
- Using a large cookie scoop or 1/4 cup measuring cup, drop dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set and centers are slightly underbaked for a soft texture.
- Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking can help prevent spreading.
- For authentic Crumbl size, make the cookies larger and adjust baking time as needed.
- Customize with different flavors like peanut butter, sugar, or chilled varieties with frosting.
