- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the chicken breasts in the pan and cook without moving for 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken breasts and reduce the heat to medium. Cover and cook for another 5–7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Letting the chicken rest helps retain juices.
- Pounding ensures even cooking and prevents dryness.
