- 1 cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Chill the mixing bowl and beaters in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
- Pour the cold heavy whipping cream into the bowl.
- Begin whipping on medium speed using a hand mixer or stand mixer.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract (if using) while mixing.
- Increase the speed to high and continue whipping until soft peaks form.
- Stop whipping once soft or stiff peaks form, depending on your preference.
- Use immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.
Notes
- Do not overwhip as the cream can turn into butter.
- Adjust sugar to taste for more or less sweetness.
- Vanilla extract adds flavor but can be omitted for plain whipped cream.
