Description

Grilled Tzatziki Chicken is a flavorful, Mediterranean-inspired dish where chicken is marinated in a tangy, herby yogurt-based tzatziki sauce and grilled to juicy perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, dill, oregano, salt, and pepper to make the tzatziki marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Mix to coat well.
  3. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  5. Remove chicken from marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, reserve some marinade before adding chicken to use as a sauce.
  • Serve with pita bread, salad, or rice for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute dill with mint for a different flavor profile.
