  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 500g (1 lb) cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and thyme. Sauté until mushrooms are golden and moisture has evaporated, about 8–10 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Mix in half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Transfer to an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
