- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chocolate frosting
- 1/2 cup caramel frosting
Instructions
Step 1: Bake the Cake
- Prepare the cake according to the package instructions in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Once baked, let the cake cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Poke & Fill
- Use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, letting it soak in.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the top, allowing it to seep into the holes.
Step 3: Add Toppings
- Sprinkle chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans evenly over the cake.
Step 4: Frost & Serve
- In a small bowl, mix chocolate and caramel frosting together. Warm slightly if needed for easy spreading.
- Spread frosting over the cake, covering the toppings.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
Notes
- For extra richness, drizzle additional caramel sauce on top before serving.
- Make it nut-free by omitting the pecans.
- For a homemade touch, swap the store-bought frosting for homemade chocolate ganache or caramel buttercream.
