Description

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta Bake is a creamy, cheesy comfort dish packed with tender chicken, flavorful garlic, and loads of Parmesan cheese. It’s baked until bubbly and golden, making it the perfect hearty meal for weeknights or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk and heavy cream until smooth.
  • Add 1 cup of Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning; stir until the sauce thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, chicken, and sauce together.
  • Pour into the prepared baking dish. Top with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken to make this recipe even faster.
  • Add a handful of spinach or broccoli for extra veggies.
  • Swap penne for any pasta you like, such as rigatoni or ziti.
