Ingredients

Units Scale
  • :
  • For the burger patties:
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • For the garlic Parmesan butter:
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Burger fixings:
  • 4 brioche or hamburger buns, toasted
  • 4 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, or sautéed onions (optional)

Instructions

  • :
  • Make the garlic Parmesan butter:
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter.
  • Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t brown it).
  • Stir in Parmesan and parsley. Set aside.
  • Form and cook patties:
  • Mix ground beef with seasonings and Worcestershire. Form into 4 patties.
  • Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook burgers 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  • During the last minute of cooking, add cheese slices to melt.
  • Assemble the burgers:
  • Toast buns and spread the cut sides with garlic Parmesan butter.
  • Layer lettuce and tomato (if using), then add the burger patty.
  • Spoon a little more garlic Parmesan butter on top before closing the bun.

Notes

  • :
  • Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Use Parmesan crisps for extra texture or mix Parmesan into the patty itself.
  • Add crushed red pepper to the garlic butter for a spicy twist.
  • Serve with garlic fries or Caesar salad for a perfect match.
