Description

Garlic Grilled Shrimp is a quick, flavorful seafood dish featuring juicy shrimp marinated in a garlicky, lemony mixture and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread shrimp onto skewers if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand.
  5. Grill shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side or until pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from grill and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Do not over-marinate the shrimp to avoid a mushy texture.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • Serve with rice, salad, or grilled vegetables.
