Description

Transform your weeknight dinner routine with these mouthwatering Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes! Featuring rich, savory sloppy joe filling atop crispy, buttery garlic bread and finished with melted colby jack cheese, this easy recipe is perfect for the whole family.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 slices frozen garlic bread
  • 1 cup shredded colby jack cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven according to the garlic bread package instructions.
  • Cook the Beef: In a medium skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat and return the beef to the skillet.
  • Prepare the Filling: Stir in tomato soup, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, onion powder, salt, and garlic powder. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  • Bake Garlic Bread: While the filling simmers, bake the garlic bread as instructed on the packaging.
  • Assemble: Remove the garlic bread from the oven. Top each slice with ¼-⅓ cup sloppy joe mixture. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of colby jack cheese.
  • Melt the Cheese: Return the garlic bread to the oven for a minute or two, just until the cheese melts. Serve hot!

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute colby jack cheese with cheddar or mozzarella for a different flavor twist.
  • For added crunch, toast the garlic bread an extra minute before adding the sloppy joe mixture.
  • This recipe is also great with a side salad or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
