Description

A quick and healthy frozen treat made with banana slices coated in dark chocolate. Perfect for snacking or a light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
  2. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 1 hour.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  4. Dip each frozen banana slice into the melted chocolate, coating it halfway or fully, as desired.
  5. Return the coated banana bites to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Freeze for another 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
  7. Store in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • You can use peanut butter or almond butter between two banana slices for a sandwich-style bite before dipping in chocolate.
  • Use dairy-free dark chocolate to make it vegan.
  • Try sprinkling sea salt or chopped nuts on the chocolate before it hardens for extra flavor and texture.
