Description
A quick and healthy frozen treat made with banana slices coated in dark chocolate. Perfect for snacking or a light dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or chopped dark chocolate)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds.
- Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 1 hour.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
- Dip each frozen banana slice into the melted chocolate, coating it halfway or fully, as desired.
- Return the coated banana bites to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze for another 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm.
- Store in an airtight container in the freezer until ready to enjoy.
Notes
- You can use peanut butter or almond butter between two banana slices for a sandwich-style bite before dipping in chocolate.
- Use dairy-free dark chocolate to make it vegan.
- Try sprinkling sea salt or chopped nuts on the chocolate before it hardens for extra flavor and texture.
