Description

A decadent dessert sandwich made with creamy cheesecake filling and fresh strawberries, fried to golden perfection between slices of bread.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
  • Butter or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly onto two slices of bread.
  3. Top the cream cheese with chopped strawberries and place the remaining bread slices on top to make sandwiches.
  4. Press the edges to seal the sandwiches slightly.
  5. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  6. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  7. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  8. Fry the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  9. In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  10. Coat the fried sandwiches in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while still warm.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
