- 4 slices of white bread
- 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
- Butter or oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly onto two slices of bread.
- Top the cream cheese with chopped strawberries and place the remaining bread slices on top to make sandwiches.
- Press the edges to seal the sandwiches slightly.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Coat the fried sandwiches in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while still warm.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- Use brioche or challah bread for a richer flavor.
- Chill the cream cheese mixture before spreading for easier handling.
