Description

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  2. Add the basil pesto and olive oil to the chicken, coating evenly. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 8 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
