- 4 sugar or waffle cones
- 4 scoops of your favorite ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, etc.)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- Vegetable oil, for deep frying
- Whipped cream, sprinkles, or chocolate syrup (for topping)
Instructions
- Scoop ice cream into tight balls, place each in a cone, and freeze for at least 2 hours or until very firm.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Add egg and milk, whisking into a smooth batter.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip the frozen ice cream cone fully into the batter, coating well.
- Carefully lower into the hot oil and fry for 10–15 seconds until golden.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Top with whipped cream, syrup, or sprinkles and serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure the ice cream is frozen solid before frying to prevent melting.
- For extra crunch, roll the cone in crushed cornflakes or cookie crumbs before battering.
- Handle with care—frying too long can cause ice cream to burst.
