For the Wonton Wrappers:

  • 2024 wonton wrappers

For Frying:

  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Optional for Serving:

  • Strawberry jam
  • Whipped cream

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cheesecake Filling

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gently fold in diced strawberries. Set the filling aside.

Step 2: Assemble the Wontons

  1. Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface.
  2. Scoop 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake filling into the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water and fold into your desired shape, pressing firmly to seal.
  4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Step 3: Fry the Wontons

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Fry a few wontons at a time for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 4: Coat with Cinnamon Sugar

  1. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Toss the warm wontons in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Serve the wonton bites warm, optionally with strawberry jam or whipped cream for dipping.
