Description

Tender and flavorful shredded chicken cooked in a crockpot, perfect for hearty pulled chicken sandwiches.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 sandwich buns
  • Coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot and mix well with the sauce.
  6. Serve the pulled chicken on sandwich buns with optional coleslaw topping.

  • Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
