- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 sandwich buns
- Coleslaw (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot and mix well with the sauce.
- Serve the pulled chicken on sandwich buns with optional coleslaw topping.
Notes
- Can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freezes well for up to 3 months.
