- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and green pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a crockpot.
- Add tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or on high for 2–3 hours.
- Serve the mixture on hamburger buns.
