- 1 (24 oz) bag frozen Italian meatballs
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 6 sub rolls
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Place frozen meatballs in the crockpot.
- Pour marinara sauce over the meatballs.
- Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until meatballs are heated through.
- Preheat the oven broiler during the last 10 minutes of cooking.
- Slice sub rolls and place on a baking sheet.
- Spoon meatballs and sauce into each roll and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use homemade meatballs if preferred.
- Try with provolone or a cheese blend for variety.
- Toast rolls slightly before adding meatballs for added crunch.
