Description

Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are sweet, spicy, and perfectly crunchy, featuring bite-sized salmon pieces coated in a golden crust and tossed in a creamy bang bang sauce.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skinless and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the salmon cubes in buttermilk for 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove salmon from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry the salmon bites in batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey to make the bang bang sauce.
  7. Toss the fried salmon bites in the sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh salmon for best flavor and texture.
  • Adjust the spice level by increasing or reducing the sriracha.
  • Can be served as an appetizer or main dish with rice or salad.
