For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
For the Cheesecake:
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
For the Caramelized Topping:
- 1/4 cup sugar
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, ¼ cup sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust. Set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Cheesecake Batter:
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add vanilla extract, then mix in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in heavy cream for a rich texture.
3️⃣ Bake the Cheesecake:
- Pour the batter over the crust.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- Let the cheesecake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
4️⃣ Caramelize the Sugar Topping:
- Before serving, sprinkle ¼ cup of sugar evenly over the top.
- Use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar until golden brown and crisp.
5️⃣ Slice, Serve & Enjoy!
Notes
- If you don’t have a torch, place the cheesecake under a broiler for 1–2 minutes (watch closely!).
- Chill for a few minutes after caramelizing for an extra crisp top.
- Serve with fresh berries or whipped cream for an elegant touch.
