Description

A light, refreshing dessert made with coconut milk and agar-agar, perfect for tropical-themed meals or a cooling summer treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 can (400 ml) coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon agar-agar powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the water and agar-agar powder. Stir well and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, lower the heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously until the agar-agar is fully dissolved.
  3. Add the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Stir and heat gently until the mixture is well combined and the sugar is dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. Remove from heat and pour into molds or a shallow dish.
  5. Let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
  6. Once firm, cut into desired shapes and serve chilled.

Notes

  • You can add pandan or vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Use fresh coconut milk for a richer taste.
  • Adjust sugar to your sweetness preference.
