Description

This cinnamon roll French toast casserole is everything you love about cinnamon rolls and French toast baked into one cozy, gooey, crowd-pleasing dish. Made with cinnamon rolls, eggs, cream, and warm spices, it’s a perfect make-ahead breakfast or holiday brunch treat that’s drizzled with icing and bursting with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (12.4 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar
  • Optional: powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and spread evenly in the baking dish. Reserve icing for later.
  • In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup.
  • Pour egg mixture evenly over the cinnamon rolls. Press down gently to soak.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Warm icing in the microwave and drizzle over casserole.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
