For the Sugar Cookie Bars:

- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
For the Frosting:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2–3 tablespoons heavy cream
- Red and green sprinkles or holiday decorations
Notes
- Substitute almond extract with additional vanilla extract if preferred.
